Wild Acoustic Music School is the fun part of Wild Acoustic Music Co where you can take music lessons to learn how to play the musical instrument you have always dreamed of playing. We have music students of all ages learning how to play and sing. We have a friendly, fun, family friendly place to play which happens to be in beautiful Evergreen, Colorado. The wonderful people who come to Wild Acoustic Music School are more than just students to us, we quickly become friends, and everyone is welcomed to become part of our music community.
There are many reasons to play music. Have you recently purchased an instrument and want to learn to play it? Did you play years ago and want to pick it up again? Do you have an old instrument around the house and would like to learn to play? Whether a total beginner or experienced musician, Wild Acoustic Music School can help you get to where you want to be.
Our youngest student is four and our oldest student is eighty-six. Rock, blues, bluegrass, classical, movie tunes, you name it. You may want to learn strumming chords, finger picking, playing melodies, improvisation, or all of the above. You may want to just play and have fun, or you may want to learn to read music and dive into music theory. We personalize each lesson program to meet the needs of the individual student.
One of the questions that seems to be on the minds of our music students is “Why should they take music lessons?” You might be asking yourself a similar question as you consider it. There seems to several reasons why people such as yourself begin the adventure of music.
One of the main reasons we hear from students is that they have always wanted to play guitar, or mandolin, or banjo, or sing and so on. If this is you, you are not alone. Many want to learn to play just as a personal accomplishment, not even caring if anyone hears them play. Some want to be able to play for family and friends, and add a little extra fun in their lives. Some people want to get out and perform. They want to play in a group with others, or go solo and perform at open mic nights or jam sessions. Many parents get their children involved in music. Sometimes it is the kids who have the passion for music, and sometimes it is parents wanting their children to become involved in the wonders of music.
Regardless of the reason, music is a wonderful experience that affords many benefits. It keeps the mind active and learning. It builds physical skills and coordination. It can relieve stress and improve your emotional health. And quite honestly, it is fun!
While we teach the fundamentals of music, and lessons that teach the needed skills to become better, we never lose sight of the fact that music is art, self expression, and fun to do. It is fun and challenging on a personal level, and it is even more fun to play music with others, and hear the wonderful sounds that the joy of connecting with others can bring.
